What we collect, and why

When you ask for a trial: your name, work email, company name, optionally what printers you run and anything you type in the message box. We use it to reply to you and to set up your account. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked us to get in touch.

When you use Printr: your account details, the computers you connect, the printers they report, and a record of each label printed: what was sent, to which printer, whether it worked. That record is how the product answers "did it print?", which is the question it exists to answer.

Label contents pass through our servers on the way to your printer. A label often carries a customer's name and address. We do not read it, use it, or share it. It is deleted on a retention schedule (30 days by default) while the record of the job itself is kept.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site. The only thing stored in your browser is which colour theme you picked.

How long we keep it

Label contents: 30 days, then deleted automatically. Job records: for as long as your account is open. Trial requests: two years, or until you ask us to delete them. Account details: until you close your account, then 30 days.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, because the servers run somewhere. Nobody else. If that changes we will say so here before it does. Data is held in the UK and EU.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email privacy@getprintr.co.uk and we will reply within a month, usually much sooner.

If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first.
